Our story began in 2014 when I finally decided to connect artisans and their unique crafts with the world. Textiles are one of my passions and Alpaca fleece has always been my favorite natural fiber. After researching and exploring the world of slow fashion and craftmanship, I found a group of Alpaca breeders and weavers and I curated my first collection: Pachamama.

Pachamama means Mother Earth in Quechua. The vision of Once Upon an Artisan is to create timeless and beautiful pieces that do not cost the earth while continuing to celebrate craftmanship.

These garments are all handmade using hand-spun alpaca fleece (Suri and Baby Alpaca), and hand-knitted by artisans in Peru.

The model, photographer and stylist are all talented Peruvian friends.
