“ We must re-design the current unsustainable practices in society, including the fashion industry”
Since 2015, we curate unique and sustainable Alpaca knitwear, hand crafted by traditional weavers from the Peruvian Andes.
At Once Upon an Artisan we embrace a slow and sustainable lifestyle, that seeks fulfilment and growth on all levels.
Our knitwear is all sourced ethically; we support and preserve traditional weaving techniques from communities in the remote highlands of Peru. Each unique piece merges traditional functionality with style and raw beauty.
Once Upon an Artisan is striving to create a marketplace that is both supporting local artisans and embracing traditional knowledge to enabling it to be passed down for future generations.
We believe in sustainability, in a slow lifestyle, in conscious decisions, in buying less and smarter, in doing what we love in an ethical way and contributing to a better world.
We are here for (but not only) the conscious consumer who is aware of the process involved on producing a garment and doesn’t want to generate a negative impact in the world.
